New Textile Innovation Project Awarded 120 Million KZT Grant
The Department of Textile Production Technology is proud to announce the approval of a major research project: "Development of technology for producing new textile materials with special properties."
The project is funded under the national grant scheme for scientific and socio-technical projects for 2025–2027, with a total budget of 120 million KZT.
The research team consists of the Department's leading scientists, who bring extensive expertise in fundamental and applied research within the textile industry. This project aims to push the boundaries of material science and deliver innovative solutions for modern industrial needs.

Material and technical base
The department has a modern material and technical base for conducting scientific research and the educational process. The department has 7 laboratories.:
The laboratories are equipped with modern equipment for determining the physical and mechanical properties and evaluating the quality of textile materials. Students gain practical skills by mastering knitting processes on the LIBRA 3.130 flat knitting machine with software.
